I also have created a blog recently on wordpress.com and using also the lovebirds theme. However, today i accessed my blog fr the first time from a PC and I noticed that by left sidebar went down and the posts spread to the whole screen view:) the same thing when accessing it from an ipad. are there any explanations?

I don't know if this has been a long standing issue or if it just began being a problem (on my theme anyway). I may have simply overlooked it, if it's been going on for a while.

In previewing, I didn't notice anything wrong in the Able theme. But I haven't made the switch to Firefox 15 yet either....

I don't expect that Staff will respond to this annoying bug until after the weekend so I switched to using Able temporarily.

I am extremely happy with the Lovebirds theme. But I noticed that my text widget near the end of my left sidebar has my quotation all wonky; the words are being cut off awkwardly rather at the proper end of words. I've tried "automatically add paragraphs" and even manually changed the length of the lines. Nothing helps.

The piece of poetry in the first text widget looks fine.....however I had to add in periods to divide the two stanzas. =) It is the second (regular text) one that looks weird to me.

Anything I can do to fix this....other than drop the text widget? (which I would rather not do)

Your theme is a premium theme and read-access to the premium themes forum is now open to all users so you can search to see if your question has been previously asked and answered there. If you are not successful when searching there is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum for your theme under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it and post to it.

The words in the post titles on my blog are cut up even if there is room enough, if the word was on a new line. See e.g. june 2012 ( http://panbloggen.wordpress.com/2012/06/ ). The title of the post of June 7, 2012 reads
"Ægteskabsloven ved
taget"
This is actually two words, and the second word "vedtaget" would certainly fit on a new line. I don't understand why the line don't wrap in the space between the words. Any ways to make that happen?

my browser (firefox 5) has a button for reloading a page without the browser Cache.
Whenever something strange happens in the dashboard, which occasionally happens,
I can reload with that button.--Same effect as clear the cache.

very handy.

I will say this: Chrome has been a royal pain in the... somewhere over the past several months. You might consider going to Firefox. Chrome seems to think if they come out with enough new versions fast enough they will somehow leave all their bugs behind, but from what I've seeing the bugs are sticking around and hoping to become feature.

No, there is no word wrap setting or toggle. Typically this happens when somehow the editor get's set into "div" mode instead of "paragraph."

Open the post in the editor, select everything in the post and then from the "format" pulldown on the left end of row 2 of the visual editor icons, select "paragraph" and it should straighten things out for you. Sometimes getting into div mode is caused by copying and pasting from the web or from another program on your computer such as a word processing program.

I'm not sure i understand clearly,
but if you want a line break that will show up on the published (or previewed) blog post, hold SHIFT + ENTER.

Inside the composition box should "text wrap" like on a notepad....
if its not: try logging out, clearing your browser cache and cookies,
then log back in
that often solves dashboard issues.

My issue is not in the published blog but in the composition box. I've used WordPress before and I'm used to the text wrapping when I reach the righthand margin of the box. Instead, there's no word wrap instead of the line breaking it just lets me keep typing.

I suspect there's a word wrap setting I need to toggle. Or else this is a bug when composing in the Chrome browser.

Any ideas?

Thank you timethief - that's very helpful regarding the left-right alignment. But how do I raise the picture higher on the page? I place the cursor where I want the photo, click
insert, but it appears much lower in the paragraph. Can I raise the photo higher on the page? Into the area that is now white space above the photo?

I don't find any information about how to move a photo once it's inserted.
When the photo doesn't go exactly where I want it, the only thing I have figured out to do is delete, insert it again, delete again, insert again, etc., each time trying to get it in the right place. There must be a way to move it after it's inserted.
For example, I'd like to raise the first photo in my most recent blog, just raise it higher into the white space above.

That's because you have accidentally added pragraph breaks inside the link text. Just edit the post to delete the breaks.

On a certain "table of contents" at my site, my lines of text are wrapping round and forming two links out of one. I can show you the link to make this clearer:

You can see that on my links for Chapter 18, 19 and 26, that is what is happening. I realize the line is only a certain length and otherwise this is perfectly fine. But aside from shortening chapter titles (which I could do--some of those long ones were my co-author's invention), is there any way to make "double links" stay as single ones?

Also, is there a means of indenting the part of a line that wraps, so that it looks better and is easier to read?

You cannot directly alter the way a shortcode object will show up. Raincoaster's right - table it is:

I copied, pasted, and modified the non-WordPress-dedicated code, and ended up with the following, which does let the words wrap, but of course there's no link to the PicApp gallery, but that's not a big loss:

When I couldn't word wrap around the image provided by this code, I added align="left", but that didn't help either.

I can't word wrap around a PicApp image. I chose "left align" before I copied the PicApp code, but that didn't help.
I finally modified the PicApp code to conventional format, that is, to and was able to solve the problem that way, but of course, I lost the link to the PicApp gallery.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I too have found that it works nicer if I put in all the text and then go back and insert the images.

No, it is not coincidental. Put the cursor into the text in the post where you want the image to be and then insert the image.
