I was accepted for WordAds in July. Initially, I had purchased the Bundle, so Jon Burke overrode my "No Ads" setting to get WordAds to appear.

I ran WordAds on the site for a few months, in spite of the fact that the homepage ad does not display correctly and "breaks" the Oxygen theme. Jon said he would submit the theme to get it "fixed".

After a few months of waiting, I deactivated WordAds because I believe the "broken" front page was turning away readers. Now I'm showing regular ads again....but not earning money from them.

So in short, if WordAds will display correctly, I want them ON the site. If WordAds will not display correctly, I want ALL ads OFF my site.

So two questions:

1. Oxygen is listed as a WordAds enabled theme now...but my display is still wrong. Is there something I need to do on my end to have WordAds display correctly on my home page?

2. If it's not possible to change the display, then I'd like to get my No Ads option (that I paid for) reactivated on my site. Can you help?

I would like to buy a domain and purchase a Fresh News theme, but I'm interested in how WordAds works with this theme (how it fits on homepage and other pages). Can someone post a screencaps here? I'd love to see more wordpress' blogs with this theme.

No. There is only one advertising program called WordAds at WordPress.com and it’s for blogs on their own domains. Aside from a blog being accepted into WordAds http://www.wordads.co/ no blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work or products created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed on free hosted wordpress.com blogs. For completing an application after reading the FAQs click the link I posted.

Hi there!

The ads on my blogs homepage are horribly placed. They cover my content and side widgets, and are not at all aligned with the structure of my blog's theme. Because of the placement, the ads are a total distraction and are impairing the quality of my site's appearance.

Does anyone know how I can move the ads (to the left) so they are properly aligned with my homepage content?

My site is tessashomemade.com.

I don't understand why they wouldn't incorporate an update to support this...it seems like, for a theme designer, a simple fix. I honestly don't want to go through the hassle of switching themes again when I just got settled with this one.

Wouldn't it benefit WordPress to encourage theme builders to make WordAds compatible?

I dropped Triton Lite for this among other reasons- the style doesn't support it. I chatted with the designer but in the end moved to a new style.

From what I read, it looks like this is a lost cause; incorporating Word Ads into the Triton Lite theme. I'm wondering if there is a possibility of somehow getting them into the sidebar widget? I really enjoy this theme, and would like to benefit from the presence of advertisement.

I recently changed my them from Bueno to Grisaille . Wordads have not been appearing for the past two weeks now. Has anyone some ideas? Or are you experiencing any difficulties with WordAds? Staff, can you help a fellow blogger?

Hi,

I'm looking at adding WordAds for my free wordpress blog. From the FAQ and other WordAds articles, the process is not clear because of the following queries:

1. Is it mandatory to have a domain (only .COM?) associated with my blog? Is there is any cost-free alternative?
2. The article also mentions the WordAds is available only based on theme and subject to suitability for the ads. Is it possible to know this before opting for WordAds?
3. It is also said that only blogs with Moderate to High visitors would be applicable for WordAds, Can I know if my blog falls under that category?

Jon... nevermind on our query above. Whether or not the ad also appears on the front page seems to depend on how we configure the post, so for now we are fine ;) .. though the ads are still not working generally :(

Hi Jon...when we activated our wordads a couple of months ago, we had quickly talked to you in this post about wordads only displaying on the post pages and not on the main home page....and it turned out that that happened to be the case for our theme which was good.

However as of today an ad is now also appearing below the first post on the front page and we were wondering why that is and if we could change that back?

Hi Jon, I've switched my best blog to Twenty-Eleven, which looks great with custom typefaces. Also, I've upgraded to a state-of-the art digital camera for better photos. (Too late to upgrade the old photographer!)

With great regret I want to go back to the old layout of the ad on my blog, even though it would reduce my income from Wordads.
I've sent an email explaining why I asked it.
Temporarily, I remove the ads from my blog until you agree to restore the old layout.
