I have had v2.6 since it came out and have had no problems except a lot of spam comments. I have taken proper measures to prevent this spam. I started not being able to write posts, edit, delete comments etc. I cant install or delete plug ins either. I upgraded to 2.7 and nothing has improved. I deleted the entire WP folder on my ftp and reinstalled. I haven't done anything with my mysql db. Does anyone have any idea how i can fix this problem?

It's too bad that this happened to you. Volunteers cannot answer your question only staff can. Staff do monitor these threads and will respond to you when they can.

Hi, this weekend WordPress seems to have decided it didn't like Icelandic. All posts with þ ð and æ (hope you see the letters) have gone bad. I had to go through my entire blog and change the post slug in many a post. These posts had been working before this and the Icelandic bloggers including myself haven't had to change post slug when we use these characters before.

I was just wondernig if this will be changed back or if we're going to have to worry about this from now on...

Hate to be a party pooper, but best is to use http://translate.google.com to translate prior to posting, but then make sure the categories are exact (not translated) to be literal. The other way would be to start a thread in the spanish forums on that issue and then link it in the sticky in this forum and once you have done that, staff will be aware.

Make sure they post 'exactly' what is not there because if they don't, staff are not able to fix the problems.

Some Spanish blogs have been having the blogroll-categories-headers problems. There seem to be nobody on the Spanish forum to help these guys. I've been telling them that this is a spread problem and have a little patience.

Question is; Since it's been announced more than once that the problems are fixed, and they aren't yet, should these guys simply wait for the fix or should they post their URLs in one of the threads here? Maybe a special Spanish thread for this matter?

I ask this because most of them are not able to explain in English what their particular issues are...

Hi, this isnt much help in fixing this, but I to am having the same problem. I have four pages on my blog and each morning they are giving 404 file cannot be found errors. The links are still there. Also the top banner picture keeps reverting to the original one from the template.

Hi,
I am new to wordpress.com. I absolutely love this server and the features it offers are great in comparison to other blogsites I have used in the past. However, I had some trouble with the layout. After my first post, I changed around some things as far as the presentation of the page. I added some text widgets and changed the header banner to a picture of my own. However, this morning when I came back on to check my page, everything had reverted back to the default theme with the default banner and none of the widgets I had added the day before. If someone could help me out, that would be greatly appreciated!

first i got http://enchambresourde.wordpress.com, but while some strange things with categories happend yesterday, i delete the blog and now the old url is blogged.

btw. when i create new categories, only one of them are visible on my site, i thought this where fixed tonight.

Do you have a link to your blog (your username links to a site off WP)? It might help if we can see it as well to work out what's going on.

For the posts I'm not sure if it'll work, but you could try creating another post with the exact same title, then delete it; I've done that for pages before and it's worked, it removes both.

For the pages, you could try clearing your browser cache and cookies, see if that helps. It might be a problem with the backend, though, and for that you'd have to send an email to staff through the support link or support@wordpress.com.

Hi,

i have two posts deleted but they are always available under Manage Post.
when i open it, they are still empty inside.

i can`t delete them again, because i allways get the following message:

"Something strange happened. Try refreshing the page."

but refreshing the page doesn`t help.

also this morning all my pages where emty, but the headlines where still available.
when i locked into my account, all pages still where there and i have repost them all again.

any idea ?

As far as I know there has been a major upgrade this weekend and staff are busy sorting out all the bugs that came with it.

it seems wordpress.com is working but myt blog isint, i get this:

Please read the threads you post into. There are widespread problems with categories, images and headers today. Staff is aware and working on a fix. Please be patient while they are being fixed. :)
