Hi. I wondered if someone could help with a comments issue. One of my commenters commented on a post, saying that after their initial comment they clicked the 'Notify me when new feedback are added' checkbox and now every time a comment is added they receive four emails with identical comments. Firstly, could you tell me how to unsubscribe that person from the notification service (or should I tell them they need to do it manually, as is it right the blogger cannot?) and is it possible to look into why, or have you any ideas, it was that the person received those multiple emails of the same comments? Hopefully it won't happen to them again, or anyone else as I do not want to put them off subscribing to the comments section, and as it was part of a competition as well, it meant they missed out on adding their answer to a comp in the comments. Still I realize these errors happen from time to time.

Hi there everyone,
I am much need of your help.
I am part of a small company that is building an e-commerce website that facilitates buying and selling of digital content between users (Think e-bay or amazon). We have hit a snag.
We have a 2 tier membership system.
The first membership is FREE (i.e. no annual fee for this membership) but we collect 30% of the sale price from the seller if an item is sold.
The second membership must be bought for $x but we collect a smaller % from the seller if they sell an item.

We cannot find an application/plugin that allows this on WordPress, does anyone know of any applications or plugins that facilitate this sort of membership?
I have little to no tech terminology so please dumb down your answer for me if need be.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

The Gallery button will only show up in the Image Uploader after you've uploaded a number of images to the same post or page and clicked the "Save all changes" button at the bottom of the image uploader. You will then be automatically taken to the Gallery tab in the uploader.

The reason your sidebar has fallen and is displaying below your posts is either due to copying and pasting or it can also be a result of importing text containing invalid HTML. Typically this is caused by an open HTML tag in one of your posts.

Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”

Posts > All Posts, change all your latest posts to Draft, click Update, change them back to Published, click Update again. (You can edit all of them at once: tick the square in front of their titles then select Edit from the Bulk Actions dropdown and click Apply.)

If that does not do it then have you copied and pasted into a text widget?

Hi

I've recently started with WordPress (It's still just a standard template at the moment) and am having trouble understanding what I need to do to actually have a site. I'm confused about domains mostly, I registered one with WP itself, but when looking for themes to use, such as through ithemes.com, they were talking about registering with places like godaddy and stuff about having a Linux server. It's all terribly confusing. I was looking for something simple to tell people about my travel business. I realise there's a learning curve with the system, but this is very complicated.

I thought with wordpress that I can just buy a theme and update the site as I need, without having to spend more money on hosting and all those other things. More simply, do I need anything else for people to see my site?

I have been having this problem as well. It was working great for about 2-3 months. Now, in the last 2 weeks or so, it barely works. It is set to publicize, and even when I go to "sharing" on my WPCP, it's there, and authorized, but doesn't post. And when I submit a new post, that box on the right of the page will pop up saying I need to authorize it - even though it already is.
crikey!

From past experiences here with WP, it's unfortunately very unpredictable. And when I went to WP support for help, the support person was very rude and not helpful at all.

My posts were appearing on facebook fine 'til the day before yesterday. Glad to read that it's a known issue and that it's being worked on. Anyone any idea of how long these blips normally take to sort out?

I've been having issues with this as well. Auto-publish will work for a few days but then it will randomly break the connection and I will have to reauthorize the facebook connection. I am also using the WordPress iPhone app in conjunction with PC as well.
