Rather than try to explain in detail what I need, I thought I'd post a photo to supplement any descriptions.

The areas in red are self explanatory, I hope. As for the areas shaded with light blue (so the text underneath can be read), what I'm looking to do is simple, I hope. I want to completely remove the "popular tags" buttons as they are big, ugly and in the way, and worse, mess up the tables when viewed on a mobile device. In their place, I'd love to put a "previous" and "next" button for post navigation. It's possible, I'd like to have the next and previous be the titles of the respective posts, as I saw this done on another fellows blog, on the same theme. I tried contacting him, but all attempts were ignored.

Any help or guidance would be really appreciated!

On any theme with an active excerpt box below the editor box you can use this workaround to have full posts on the front page. You compose your whole post first and before you publish it you switch to the HTML (Text) editor, copy all the code, paste it into the Excerpt box below the posts editor, and publish the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts

If you do not see an excerpt box then go to screen options on the top right hand corner of your Admin page and include:
Post – Likes and Shares, Format*, Categories, Tags, Excerpt, Send Trackbacks, Discussion, Comments**, Slug, Author, Revisions, Writing Helper

P.S. On themes that do have an active excerpt function, the workaround works very well but you have to do it on every post you create.

There is no upgrade you can purchase form WordPress.com that changes what I posted above. However, there are no eCommerce restrictions if you hire a web host and set up your own self hosted WordPress.org install. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Basically I had someone install a blog quite awhile back here at http://www.DasCheap.com/home.html

You can see the link for the WP blog at the bottom, and basically I think that the person who was in charge installed a hacked theme. Now my question is that we had some good traffic to it, and all of a sudden it seems to get very little. Content is pretty regular and clean. Can someone suggest any way to find malicious code in the theme? Or perhaps the best SEO plugin that is result driven?

I did clear cookies, and sometimes when links are clicked on the About page they FWD, and cookies are kicked via cloaked affiliate links...

WordPress.com has been running advertising on our free hosted blogs since 2006. Many bloggers do not know this because despite the fact they ticked the box required to get a free blog, they did not read the ToS. Many also do not read features page, or advertising entry in the support documents after registering their username and blog(s). I'm looking for suggestions of a WordPress theme that offers a clean, -fast- working appearance for a simple grid artist portfolio. I would really like built-in pop-out functions that would work for video, photographs and possibly audio as well.

In addition (if possible), for any text or html based posts (and possibly music would fit in this category), the grid would rearrange itself and expand that particular grid box and allow the other grid boxes to remain small but rearrange themselves around the page (HTML5?) similar to this page:
