Youtube has apparently changed something with the way videos are processed in lists, so when you include the URL with the list ID, it's only pulling in the first video in the list.

Instead, make sure that you are always using just the video's URL.

For example, the first post should be:

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAoCkk850UE]

and the second post:

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9Kujas1IsM]

I have a problem with my blog. All the embedded youtube videos appear to be the same one, even if the links I copied are different. 2 weeks ago, I didn't have this problem, so I was wondering if you could help me.

You're right, and you confirm what I said: no trace of the problem can be seen in the post revisions. Clearly, no codes have been changed in the posts themselves. This far, the problem certainly seems to have been temporary. That it is partly on the YouTube side is obvious, since the posted videos were replaced by other videos from YouTube. What I wonder is primarily how it is possible that YouTube could affect WP, or, more precisely, YouTube videos posted on WP, in this way: without the link or any codes or anything else being changed on WP, another video is displayed.

I am noticing the wrong Youtube videos are appearing on my blog. My most recent uploaded video is appearing on the blog instead of the video I wanted. I copied the url from the video I wanted to appear, but continue to receive the wrong video.

Please fix this error.

I did check one post on your blog with the video in it, and I couldn't find any evidence of the video being changed. If any code had been changed in the post itself, it would've shown in the post revisions and there wasn't anything like that. Without a link to an example, without a screenshot, without seeing the problem in action – we can't rule out a temporary problem on the YouTube side, a glitch, or anything else – so we need to have a live example to check into to go any further.

If you or anyone else does see the problem happen again, providing the post link, the expected YouTube video link, the actual YouTube video link, and a screenshot would be helpful especially if you need to update the post right away which is understandable.

Thanks for your imput. What you say does not contradict what I and others have said above, however. The issue has not been resolved, except in the sense that I immediately restored the original videos.

Dear macmanx,

I have more than 90 videos from You Tube with that particular method on my blog. And they ALL worked till the 17th of july. Then SUDDENLY I got the trouble with the 16 videos on the 18th of july (I noticed it, when I started my computer at 21:30 in german time. Might have been already the 19th in your area.) The other of the 90 videos still work normal.

I could fix the example I gave you where it said:
„500 Internal Server Error
Sorry, something went wrong.
A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation.“

But it didn`t work with the videos of the „13 cases category“ of wich I told you.

So I tried to follow your guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/ in that cases.

I`ve done what it says in the beginning:

„ Embedding with a URL
To quickly embed a YouTube video, simply copy the video’s URL from your web browser’s address bar while viewing the video. Paste it on a line by itself in your post/page editor. We take care of the rest! “

I`ve done that, but the problem is still the same. The wrong video is still shown on my blog:

The video that I see embedded in that post right now is titled "Eurovision 1979," which is the same video as you have set to be embedded there per the very first revision.

Has the issue been resolved?

If it's just the videos, then it's almost certainly the same issue that many, many other people have reported with YouTube right now. In other words, you haven't been hacked.

The one you suggest is not an example.

I can see no trace of the problem in the post revisions of any example post. All that I have this far been able to see there is the original postings, and then the updates through which I restored the original videos.

The latter were first replaced by this one, when it was my latest YouTube favourite:

In turn, that video was replaced by this one, when I added it to the favourites:

I realize I should have left a post where the problem could be seen in action. It is now too late for that, since I felt I had to restore immediately.

Restoring them totally makes sense. It does still help to have a link to an example post though. One thing we could do is try looking at the post revisions. The post revisions look normal to me though, so it was a good thing to check but appears we need more info.

Hacker Attack on my blog - something happened, almost all video on my blog were replaced by another one. I tried to change them, but nothing helps. The links on the video are correct. Video on youtube (my own production) - works well.
It looks like spam or hacking attack on my blog, Im very worried about the situation, because this websyte is my own project and all my work is here...
Please help me.

Ups! I hope, I can explain this right. When I want to post a video from You tube, I always press "adding files" (in german language "Dateien hinzufügen") and then I put the whole link (for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppB1n03kg-Q ) into the field URL.

on the 18th of July I noticed tecnical problems with 16 videos from You tube, that I showed on my blog. Actually it were two different kinds of problems:

In THREE CASES, there was instead of the video just a little note to see:

„500 Internal Server Error
Sorry, something went wrong.
A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation.“

In 13 CASES there was shown a wrong video.

I proved some of this cases. People were always lead to the right channel on You tube. But instead of the video that I wanted to show, they saw always the newest video of that channel.
