I have hundreds of megabytes of Outlook email in several downrev versions of the .CSV and other old Outlook formats. I would like to use PERL or some other batch editor to port these files into an archival format that is flexible and accurate (importing timestamps, etc.).

Ideally, this might be conversion to XML and using XSLT files for target formats. But as a start, I would like to know if there is any built-in support in WordPress for importing Outlook files. Can you advise me?

Thanks,

Mike

Our client wants to migrate their blog. When I use the WordPress exporter in the tools section, any blog that starts with an <img tag breaks. The content does not get copied to the XML and instead just has
in it. Any post that starts with text seems to export fine. I have admin access to their site if you need it.

Hm, we can't bring it in directly, no. XML is just a file type, it's the format inside that matters. For example, WordPress, Blogger, and Posterous are all XML, but all quite different.

Does Storify make any claims on the export file's compatibility? Like, do they claim that you could bring it into Blogger? If so, you could use the Blogger importer for example.
