A similar problem cropped up in the Forums when a blogger had created posts in Gallery format with photos that had been uploaded to the Media Library directly or inserted in other posts, rather than uploaded to the post where the Gallery is inserted. It seems to be a leftover before the ability to create Galleries from any photo was introduced last year.

I'm going to tag this for Staff Assistance as they really are the only ones who can solve this for you.

Most of my posts are galleries. They are fine when they are displayed by themselves, but when they come up in a list (by selecting a category or archive), they always have the message "This gallery contains 0 photos" at the bottom of each post, even though that is plainly not the case. Any thoughts?

Also, in the same situation where gallery posts come up in lists, the post's title is centered which causes some problems for the text. It would be better if the title was either to the right or left. Is that possible?

I'm using the Yoko theme - non-premium. Thanks for any help!

Recently, I decided to take a look at my homepage and I noticed my most recent post (weekly photo challenge: color) has a messed up margin—the text is in the margin where the date and comment number are for most posts. Instead, the full date and comment number appears under the title itself.

I have also tried previewing my blog in other themes, and similar problems happen with this post. For example, in the Little Story theme, this post doesn't have the usual title banner and has no text excerpt. (The text excerpt is the title, a link which leads to the actual post.)

1) CSS editing is theme specific: each theme has different selectors, different structure, different dimensions, so a code that works on one theme will produce erratic results or won't work at all on a different theme.

2) On Yoko you don't even need CSS editing to do what you're looking for: the theme has two nav menu areas, one above and one below the header image. You can create a blank menu and set it as your "Primary Navigation", and another menu (with the items you want) which you'll set as your "Sub Menu". For details on custom menus see this post of mine:
Have tried your fix for katie in twenty twelve, but that doesn't actually make a change at all in preview on yoko. I tested it in a preview of twenty twelve, and it worked, so I'm guessing i need some slightly different code...?

Hello there! Good day!
I am using the Yoko theme and have purchased the Custom Design upgrade. I need to change my site's title and tagline fonts to match those of my logo. I thought that by purchasing it I was going to be able to use a font from Typekit, but instead found a limited range within the Appearances >> Custom Design > fonts tab.
The title should be Bebas Neue and have already checked that it is available within Typekit's Library. I created a kit on Typekit and registered my page, and included the Typekit kit ID on the Appearances >> Custom Design > fonts tab - advanced mode, but still have not managed to make my site change.
Would you be so kind to help me? Thanks!

Howdy!

It looks as though Yoko supports Featured Header Images (which is not noted in the theme's documentation--it should be!)

As a solution, if you don't want the featured image to appear as your header, ensure your original Featured Image is less than 1102 pixels wide when you upload it. That should keep it as a thumbnail but remove it from the header.

I hope this helps! I'll look at updating the theme's documentation, too, thanks for bringing that to our attention.

Picking another theme is one good option. Here are some notes about your CSS question as well if you're interested.

1. Not show a date on blog posts.

To hide the date on single posts in the Yoko theme, add this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor:

.entry-date {
	display: none;
}

Hello.

I'm using the Yoko Theme but I don't like the way it looks in the mobile version. If you take a look at the site in a mobile device you will see a gray navigation bar with black type, and all the post's headings in black too -instead of pink-

Is there a way to change those colors? so they can match the blog as I see it in my computer?

Any help is really appreciated! Thank you!
