Have you resolved your original issue?

I added a member to my blog exept its telling them that they own the blog

If not then please do what drmike advised.

Best bet would be to submit this issue via feedback so that a staff member that's a look at the situation. This is a back end issue that we're not going to be able to solve for you here in the forums.

Anyone can comment as long as they have an email address. You can manipulate those settings under Discussion -- >Privacy on your dashboard.

Oh DUH I think I get it now. You think something went wrong and the OP added a person intended to be only a Contributor as an Administrator by mistake.
But can't the OP who is an Administrator change the other Administrator's role?
-> Users - Remove checked users (and then add the same person back in again but this time with the correct role) Set the Role of checked users to: (drop down choices - Contributor) I'm asking because I mucked up on one of my blogs and remedied it that way.

It would be easier to help you if you could clearly state what the ideal outcome you have in mind is. Contributor - They can edit their posts but cannot publish. Is this what you want?
