Posts can be retrieved by category so that means that you can create a custom menu for your categories. So even though all your posts go to your main page (which does not have to have a menu access if you prefer not) you can use the custom menu function to display each of your chosen categories.

Different themes handle these category groupings (pages) differently, some show only excerpts, others will show the complete post.

See this on creating custom menus (it discusses the category pages too)

I'm trying to set up my blog so that I can make individual pages for different topics and then add posts to those pages.

Basically, I'm doing written let's plays for games and I want them organized by game. For example, I want to make a page for "Nuzlocke Challenges" (A type of self imposed challenge for pokemon games), then under that I want a sub-page for "Pokemon Diamond", and I want to add posts about my experiences in that game to that page instead of to my main page.

I feel it would keep things really neat and tidy having each game and playthrough on their own page.

However, I can't seem to find a way to add a new post to an existing page...Everything just goes to the main page.

Is there a way to do it? Or is there another way I can easily organize my blog to make things easy for my readers to find?

Thanks for any replies.

(My blog isn't public yet, FYI. I want to get all the kinks worked out before I open it up)
