What's important to know is that search spiders cannot "see" or "read" any text in images. Therefore it's very important that you make sure your Blog Title and optional Tagline are found here &#62; Settings &#62; General  Note that some themes provide the option of displaying Header text here &#62; Appearance &#62;  Header and some like the Tarski theme  do not have that option.
