On the subject blog, I've had:

3,600 valid comments
30,600 spam comments

I can count on two hands the number of type 1 errors (spam missed) and type 2 errors (valid comments tagged as spam).

This 0.03% error rate is excellent performance. I could not maintain any semblance of a usable blog without it.
