Regardless of the theme, Author bylines will only display now if there are at least two Authors, who both have at least one published post in the blog.

You can have each Guest Writer (contributor) type in a byline at the beginning of their posts. You can create a category for Guest Writers and sub-categories for each contributor's name, which can be assigned to posts prior to publication. Then when the sub-category link is clicked all their posts will be accessible.
