@clairedoubleyou, CSS is theme specific, and you are not using the same theme as @metroreig, you are using Bueno. The following would be for Bueno. Edit the colors as desired.

.widget ul li a:link, .widget ul li a:visited {
color: #666666;
}

The following would be the "hover" color which is now purple.

.widget ul li a:hover {
color: #3B0466;
}

Hi Metroreig and thesacredpath.

I too have the same issue. I've copied/pasted each of these and tried them out, but the preview doesnt change from the colours it is at present....

Is there anything else I can try?

There are two colors set that cover the entire site, not just the stuff in the sidebars. The following targets just the links in the sidebars. I've included both the non-hover and hover CSS for you. Edit the color codes as desired.

#leftside a, #rightside a {
color: #CC0000;
}

#leftside a:hover, #rightside a:hover {
color: #CCCCCC;
}

How do I change sub-link colors of Archives, Blogroll, Meta, and Subscribe?
I used the container to change the colors of the main links but cannot figure out out to change the sub-links for the ones listed above.
