I read both your posts and enjoyed them.

Speaking as a staffing and career professional, opportunities tend to stem more from effective networking and relationship building than they do from exhibiting raw talent. Try to connect with as many people in the business as you can. Try some LinkedIn groups that will throw you in with freelancers and see what they're saying about getting ahead in their craft.

I would recommend reading other articles written on these same subjects by professionals. If you do that, I think you'll see you aren't at that level yet. Still, you are young, and you have style and energy. You have time to improve. Journalism is not a talent-based profession. It's a craft. It takes a lot of practice.

If you want a career, another path is to write for your student publications and web sites on topics that someone else assigns to you. It's a lot harder to write well about topics you may have no personal interest in, but that's what real journalists do most of the time. Most stories covered will be chosen for you by others in superior positions, editors, producers and publishers.

I've been maybe-kind-of-sort-of considering going into print journalism for awhile, and I think I'm a pretty good writer, but I don't know if I'm good enough to actually do it as a career. So I've posted a couple articles I've written and was hoping I could maybe get a little feedback?
