<p>Basically, you gave the div an ID of something that was already defined with no background in your theme's stylesheet.

			<description><![CDATA[<p>I found out why my background went blank.  I had first used <a>, but by using that when a word was clicked it would not go exactly where I wanted it to go, close, but not quite.  I then changed it to &#60;div id="text"&#62; and that removed the background color,  I put it back the way it was and all is well. isn't that odd?<br />
