Their description is a little confusing. Panos' article makes it clear with his diagrams.

The theme I'm using also has a similar variety of sidebar/bottom bar configurations so I was already a bit familiar with how it works…

Gack, I meant to copy / paste that you should select
"Enable accessibility mode"
if you are not able to simply drag and drop more widgets into your sidebar section.

The only tricky part about Coraline (and several other themes) is that you have many different options to choose from as to how your sidebars and bottom bar are configured. Choose the style you like, and then add whatever, however many widgets you want to each section.

If you are having difficulty adding more widgets to your sidebar, then you might try activating "Enable accessibility modeDisable accessibility mode" from the "screen options" on the top right of your screen.

Sorry, but that means up to 3 sets of widgets in the sidebar:
one theme option means that you can have a double width sidebar above 2 more single width columns for your side bar. You can put as many widgets in each section as you like.

Take a look at Panos' post to view the various configuations of the sidebar on Coraline.
On my test blog right now, I have 4 or 5 widgets in each possible sidebar space.

It is confusing, but you can certainly have more than 3 widgets in any one of the sidebar areas.

I'm so sorry. I just put this theme on my test blog and discovered your are correct and only 3 widgets can be used in the sidebar of that theme.

Coraline by Automattic

I suppose all you can do to fill the space is to create one text widget with a lot of stuff in it or switch themes.

I'm not sure why you assume you are allowed only 3 widgets in a Coraline sidebar? Have you tried to add others and not succeeded?

Coraline allows a number of ways to configure your sidebars, and you should be able to add as many widgets as you like to each of them.

I have no idea where you got the notion that you could only have 3 sidebar widgets -- that's simply not true. You can have as many widgets as your wish in your sidebar. Need some help. Please be kind - I'm not a techie.
I'm using Coraline, and it's my understanding that I'm only allowed 3 sidebar widgets. So what can I do to fill the blank space under those widgets? On other blogs, I notice there are all sorts of links, info, etc. along the sidebar. Do I need to go with a different theme?
