Is there any way of getting a refund on the package from WordPress, but of retaining AnnaLawlorFreelance as a domain name, which I can use elsewhere?

We provide a 30-day refund for bundle upgrades except where a bundle contains Domain Registrations. The refund period will end 48 hours after registration of a new domain name linked to the bundle. If the bundle is eligible for a refund, you will see a Cancel and Refund button for the bundle subscription on the Store > My Upgrades page.

If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#update-nameservers

This is no doubt a failing on my part as I'm not very tech savvy, but I have found it confusing that the Debut Theme tutorials refer to the wordpress.org version and I have tired of piecing together guidance from the Support site and still can't get it to work how I would like.
Is there any way of getting a refund on the package from WordPress, but of retaining AnnaLawlorFreelance as a domain name, which I can use elsewhere?
Please advise how I go about doing this.
