Wow thanks for the quick reply.

I am an admin at a site, but not the owner of the site and so cannot list the url.

However - I have been asked to see if I can disable the moderator alerts that are emailed to post authors.

The reason beign is that the owners want only editors or admin to moderate comments and the authors do understand this rule, but do not want to continue to receive the email.

It seems there is no quick option withing the dashboard for an author to disable email alerts.

I commented out the code within wp_notify_postauthor() and just returned false in the file pluggable.php, but still post authors receive these emails.

Ideas?

I'm looking for the opposite action - I DO NOT want Post Authors to receive email Moderation alerts. How can I override this? I see that Admin have the ability to change this under the discussion tab - but authors do not.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Perhaps to get around this, you could use an email address you both have access to, or set up email rules to forward such notices to each-other automatically?

That's definitely possible. I can try to set something up with our Google Apps mail to forward copies to both of us or set it up with my regular ISP mail to auto-forward a copy to her. I didn't even think of that. /d'oh!

Thank you!!

Is it possible for 2 people to receive comment alerts?

Editors can moderate all comments, they just don't receive email notifications whenever a comment is made on the blog. That right is reserved only for the author of the post.

See what Staff said here:

You're right in so far as the email notifications only go to one email address, and it's not currently possible to change this (it's been the subject of a good deal of discussion in fact).

So, currently, the email address which receives comment notifications is that which is associated with the user profile of the author of the post. Perhaps to get around this, you could use an email address you both have access to, or set up email rules to forward such notices to each-other automatically?

I'm the admin of http://basiasbookshelf.wordpress.com/ - soon, hopefully today to become http://basiasbookshelf.com - and because of the way our posts are handled, it's generally required that my blog partner receive notices of comments on her own posts because she needs to reply to them herself. Obviously since I'm the admin, they're all coming to me - I've only made her an Editor. Is it possible for 2 people to receive comment alerts? I've looked around on the dashboard and can't see anyplace to add in a second email address.

Thank you!
