I would like to set up a blog in which some content is available to all users, and some other content requires a username and password to view (preferably unique to each user). I'm fairly new at the nuts and bolts of web programming, but I'm told by the more experienced that what I'm looking for is called a registration wall. There doesn't need to be a sign up form or anything like that (though if wordpress.com supports this, that's nice too), as the users would be receiving their username and password from me directly, independently of the blog.
Is this possible on wordpress.com? If so, how can it be accomplished? If not, can I do it on wordpress.org, and which plugins should I look at? I'm told it's a fairly simple matter but I hardly know where to start looking for information.
