I earn money from the e-commerce, not so much, but it's a service. Let's say that in my bookstore I put only the books I recommend, sold, managed and hosted by someone else. Let's say like a small ibook, or a small personalized amazon store.

So when people click on the label "shop" or something like that, they go to an external service, with my store and the products recommended by me. I earn if they buy them through that service. The space taken on my blog, at the end, will be the space of a label, o slug.

They're not your products, but you want a link to them in your HEADER? Why?

Or are you just talking about you want to link to products on an ecommerce site because you're talking about the products? In that case, just link to them. You're not making any money from them, so it doesn't matter.

Well, that's fine for me, it would be just a link on a label on the menu as I said, nothing more. But they're not my products in any case. It's like talking about books all the time, with a link to a bookstore, nothing more. It's not my primary purpose, not even a secondary, it's just a plus for the readers.

It would be okay IF the primary purpose of the blog isn't to direct people to the e-shop. If you blog about your products, that's fine, but the kind of blogs I've seen suspended have had links to the e-store in every post, a header text that drove people to that site, widgets that told everyone to go to the shop, etc. A header link saying Shop is fine.

well, the blog would be this: http://italianeography.com and I'm in the queue for the Wordads program too.

I'd link this store.mydomain.com to one menu page, like Apps, or Forum. So, clicking on the menu label, people will go to an external hosted service. Is it ok then in this way?

thanks for your help macmanx

Hi macmanx,

Thanks for your answer but, just to be sure, technically the e-commerce won't be on wordpress.com it would be http:// store.mydomain.com and the address will be linked to the label. The commerce is not embed in a wp.com page. It's like having the label Forum, and then people click on the label or the "page" and go to another domain store.mydomain.com with the e-commerce.
Is it not allowed that?

Ps: I know the differences .org .com but I'm fine like that for now.

Hi,

I know I can't open an e-commerce or something similar in wp.com and I can't use other ads but I've seen a service with an e-commerce hosted with their platform that I might be interested too.

So my question is: can I open a page and link that page to another commercial service? With another ads service too because it's hosted somewhere else? As I'm not sure I prefer to ask. It would be like having an external forum linked to a page with google adsense there. But it's a store.

Thanks :)
