@knowmorerobertmac: Since you don't have the upgrade, you can switch to a theme that doesn't display such headings. See here:

Have a look around the forums (specifically the CSS Customization and Theme forums) and see if there might be a some information.

I'd like it when my visitors visit one of my categories, for instance "essays" that the top only displays "essays" and not "category archives: essays" Can anyone please help?
