I was talking about the $10 mapping. I assume the blog is actually myblog.wordpress.com. But when people go to my self hosted myblog.mydomain.com, they see the content of myblog.wordpress.com, but the url is still seen as myblog.mydomain.com? (BTW I just upgraded to 2.9.1. It is still down most of the time.)

One of the pages on mydomain.com redirects to mypage.otherhost.com. That is actually redirected successfully every time. So I kinda believe the down time of my blog has something to do with wordpress.org...

So I'm thinking about moving the posts back to my wordpress.com blog, and pay wordpress to host it.

Are you aware that the only people who pay wordpress.com for hosting their blogs are those who qualify and are accepted and do pay for VIP hosting? http://wordpress.com/vip-hosting/

You issue is not one we can help you with here at wordpress.com. Also your host maybe giving you the run-around because I have no problems with my self hosted blog. I frequently deactivate all plugins and export the content out of it and import them into a wordpress.com back-up blog. My self hosted blog is with A Small Orange and they are excellent web hosts with superb support.

I read some discussions that you need to disable the plug-in's before exporting the xml file. So I did that, but still cannot import to my wordpress.com blog. Error:
"Invalid file
Please upload a valid WXR (WordPress eXtended RSS) export file."
