The sample videos you're showing also display a big black box. I've also looked at some other WordPress blogs with videos, and they all show big black boxes. Sounds more like something's wrong with WordPress in this regard ... So when are you going to look into it and fix it???

The response to YouTube problems like this is always the same: regardless of what the support docs say or what worked before, use the shortcode, in this case
