FYI, the copy in the help section (after a very thorough read-through) says to "Cancel private Whois," but it really should say "Cancel private registration." Finally figured that out.

FYI, Wild West told me to email support@wordpress.com, which got me no response. It would be helpful to have everyone on the same page; this switch was extremely frustrating.

I followed all of the steps to change over my domain, but no matter what, the privacy won't turn off so I can't complete the transfer. I have spoken with Wild West Domains, who apparently is the company that did the domain on behalf of wordpress.com, but they told me I needed to contact wordpress.com. No response from the email that they told me to use for wp.com.
