You cannot build your own theme here. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins or upload any third party themes or software. Those are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

There is no upgrade that you can purchase from WordPress.com that provides FTP access, the ability to install plugins, third party themes and software into free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

I'm sorry but if it's not a free hosted WordPress.com blog that you are referring to then we cannot help you with it. You need to register a WordPress.org username account on the top right hand corner of this page http://wordpress.org/support/ so you can post to the correct support forum for your software.

Your blog is a WordPress.com blog, and for those you can ONLY use the themes on your dashboard Themes page. Ask the producer of your theme for a refund, and explain that you have a WordPress.COM blog not a WordPress.ORG blog and therefore cannot use it.
