There is no "setting" to turn it off. It could be hidden via CSS if you had the Custom Design Upgrade.

I like that the More Articles section has more text in it than the Updates section above it - can I make the updates section like that and remove the more articles section? I apologize if this is a confusing question! I do plan to buy the CSS upgrade very soon, so if I need CSS just let me know your thoughts.
