That site actually has a few things going on:

The sidebar is disabled under Appearance → Theme Options.

The dark theme is selected on the same page. A dark background tends to make images "pop", and is recommended for sites that focus on images.

All the posts on the front page use the "Image" post format - which you can specify when editing the post.

By following these three guidelines, you should be able to recreate the look you wanted.

Let us know how it goes.

Sorry about all the confusion here, twilightreality. To help us make sure we fully understand what you're after, maybe you could provide a link to the particular page from the model of the theme that you'd like to mimic.

I feel like I am speaking a different language here :) because as I've posted in the beginning, what I am trying to accomplish here is just like on the model of this theme, same way the gallery page is.

Hello,
as I switch to 'one column' layout, the other pages on the blog aren't accessible, due to lack of the columns. =( Isnt' there another way to get the Gallery look as WordPress provides in the Twenty Eleven instructions? Thanks.

Hi. To make a photo layout site that looks sort of like this, you'll need to follow the instructions Andrew provided. I see that you've got TwentyEleven designated as your theme now, so you're halfway there. Next up, just go to Appearance -> Theme Options in your sidebar and change the layout, as depicted here.

Hello,
I've switched to Twenty Eleven, switched things around at the Theme Options, but it didn't do anything with the Photo Page, no images are showing. So I'm going back to the first question "Twenty Eleven, it gives an option of making a tumblelog theme where I wanted to make photolog/photo page going. I can't seem to create that, and there are no instructions on that as well."
Thanks!

Hi, sorry about the link not working. The option isn't showing up for you because you're still using Duster as your active theme. Can you first switch to Twenty Eleven?

You'll find it in the Themes tab of your Dashboard. Once you activate it you'll have the Appearance > Theme Options page as well as the option to turn on the one column layout.
