To set up the front page template on Twenty Twelve follow the directions provided in the theme description found here >
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/twentytwelve/

The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.
Choice 1 static front page
Choice 2 running page for all posts on front page
Which do you choose? It’s one or the other.
If you choose a static front page then you have to create two pages as I said above. After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

Do not mess with any links at all!

Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
type in the name of the theme you want to use
click the "activate" link when it appears

After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets and re-install them where you want them to appear. The widget contents and settings will be the same as they were prior to changing themes.

If I want to change the blog theme from "twenty eleven" to "twenty twelve" using the front page option of "twenty twelve", will the blog posts addresses change? (Will I have to change all the links?) Second, will my readers have to change their feeds? (Because the final blog address will change to" ...wordpress.com/blog".)

Thanks for any hint :-)
