All of the blue link colors throughout the theme are here.

a, h2 a:hover, h3 a:hover {
color:#0066CC;
}

Just add that to your CSS edit window and change the hex color code. It covers the inactive color for normal links, and also the "hover" color (when the mouse pointer is over the link for the post titles. If you only want to do the links in the sidebar, footer and in posts (links you put in) then add only the following.

a {
color:#0066CC;
}

OK and again thanks for the tip.

So... calling CSS experts... what bit of the CSS do I need to look for to change the colour of RHS widgets. Do I trawl through the spreadsheet looking something named like, for eg: Recent Posts? I assume the text highlight colour is a universal change? If anyone can give me a bit of help I'd be forever grateful!

Did you know that you can already experiment with using CSS:

I’m not sure if the CSS upgrade is for me. Can I try before I buy?
Yes! Go to Appearance → Edit CSS in your dashboard. You can write or paste your own CSS stylesheet into the text box provided, and use the Preview button to see how it will look with your current theme. The CSS changes you try with the Preview function will only be visible to you, so you can test and edit to your heart’s content.

I wonder if anyone would be willing to advise me? I've just started building a blog/site for my partner's business using the theme 'contempt'. Thus far it seems to deliver what I need however I'd like to be able to change the colour of the side bar widgets and highlight colour to one more in-keeping with the colours of the brand. Before I splash my cash on the CSS upgrade is it easy enough for a CSS novice to make these changes?
