I'm trying to apply it to specific media files (pdfs) that I have embedded within pages.

For instance, I might have 20 pdfs linked to on one page, but I just want to send the URL of one of those pdfs with a simplified URL.

Unfortunately, the URLs are long and clunky. Is there way to rename them to something more user friendly?

For example - could I rename this: http://mikeschulteweb.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/draftmarapr.pdf

to something like this:
http://eastsidecraft.pdf

I realize that I could rename the pdf file, which would help a bit, but can I shorten the link and get rid of the "mikeschulteweb.files.wordpress.com" -- Is there anything like an internal ow.ly function?
