If you do that on wp.COM then your site will be suspended for violating the ToS.

If the adverts are not necessary for your site, then you should be fine on wp.com, but if you need the affiliates, then you must use wp.ORG. (Or some other hosting/software system)

You will pay for your domain name (which you already have), then pay a company to host your site. The name alone does not mean you will be live online.

The software to run your site is free from wp.ORG, but you may or may not want to purchase a theme. They do have free themes you can use.

Affiliate marketing blogs: Blogs with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs and get-rich-quick schemes (“Make six figures from home!!”, “20 easy steps to top profits!!”, etc). This includes multi-level marketing (MLM) blogs and pyramid schemes. To be clear, people writing their own original book, movie or game reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their own products on Etsy do NOT fall into this category. One of my concerns is.. I have been approved with some affiliates and I want to be able to display the banners in my posts, but with wordpress.com, I cannot do that.

Another thing is, I just don't know where to start. I've already paid for the domain, so now what? Do I have to purchase the $13/year thing for it to be mapped or what?
