The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display.

In a new blog one does not have many posts or comments. In an established blog if the comments did not collapse on the front page it would become a mile long in no time flat and page loading time is a page ranking factor. We have only seconds before visitors refuse to wait and click out.

Someone has to hit "leave a reply" before it brings up the sharing options I guess. Is there a way to leave those open all of the time?

Today I was trying to think about how I could talk with the people I am drawing but it all happens so fast! It is like while I draw I'm switching to a non verbal part of the mind.

Was considering giving them a card saying that I drew them and the image may appear on the web site. But I was thinking today that most of the things I am drawing I can't tell if I like until much later.

Hmmm.

Somehow I'll think of a way to integrate text into it!

I think you are totally right!

I've been thinking of doing some interviews and getting to know who I'm drawing too. I am waiting for my friend to get to Toronto so he can interview them with a recording device when I draw.

Perhaps you could have a post in which you feature one particular sketch and give a description of what the person was doing exactly? Despite the fact that whatever they may have been doing would probably be boring and mundane, I think a short descriptive paragraph would make it all the more interesting.

At least for me it would.

tick all your boxes and drag the ones you want to share to, into the sharing box;
then make sure each post is ticked at the bottom before you post is. :)
