If you tell us what the URLs starting with http:// are for the blogs you cannot comment on then that will be helpful.

You can't log-in to any blog but your own. You can log-in to WordPress.com but that does not mean your can log-in to a WordPress.org install that set up to only allow comments from those who are registered with the blog in question. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

"Always" Is an exaggeration, perhaps; I am on a new PC - one month old - and my system remembers my log-in info, as per my request. Why then can I not comment on other WP blogs even when I am logged in to my own blog? I can log into my own dashboard with my username and password, why can I not log in to a different WP site in order to comment?
If I fill in info in one instance and have no trouble logging in, why can I not use the same info to log in/comment elsewhere?

WordPress.com uses cookies to keep track of commenters so if your or someone else makes a comment on a blog, the next time they come to that blog, unless they have cleared their cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them.

Have you tried logging out and clearing your browser cache and cookies?

Thanks, but really, I tried everything mentioned - signed in with email + password, username + password, then requested new password and repeated steps 1 & 2, no luck, so changed password again and repeated once more. Still no luck.
On this PC, as well, I am always logged in to WordPress, so I find the whole situation incomprehensible.

I just spent half an hour trying to post a comment on another WP blog, to no avail. I ended up having to post "via" Facebook, despite my log-in info allowing me to access my blogs and dashboard no problem. I was given a total runaround trying to log in to one of my bookmarked blogs and comment via WordPress. Even setting new passwords did not help.
Is there any way to avoid this hassle in the future?
