When on that page you will see all the comments you are subscribed to. Hover your mouse over the title of the post/site title and you will see the word "delete" appear underneath the Site Title. Clicking on "Delete" should unsubscribe you from the comments.

opinion/
The WordPress.com drop down menu in the Admin bar is precariously positioned right above the Dashboard menus, which can lead to no small confusion when inadvertently clicking on one and not the other.

That brings me to this message on the page "blogs I follow" : This is the management page for following post comments. You will receive an email whenever anyone comments on these posts. Click delete to stop receiving emails for that post.

I don't see anywhere it says I have comment subscriptions or could manage them. I've never subscribed to anyone's comments so maybe that's why it's not showing up.

Any other thoughts?

page for yourname[at]email.com. You have x comment subscriptions and y site subscriptions.

Click on "x comment subscriptions" to manage comment subscriptions.

I did look in reader (and dashboard >blogs I follow just takes me to reader) but don't see any unsubscribe from comments. (There is an unsubscribe for the blogs.) Where do you see it on your page?

If you don't see it in the Reader under "Blogs I follow", then you should be able to find it in your Dashboard >Blogs I follow>Comments.
