It didn't really have anything to do with my post, even though the person was talking about the same lady that I was exercising to. The person's link lead to a buyer's website.

I know that sometimes good things can be marked as spam, especially in email. I had some emails from people I know that were sent to my spam box by mistake.

Just be careful. I have my comment set to where if it's not spam, I have to approve the messages.

As for your original post:
a) In Settings>Discussion again, make sure the options next to "E-mail me whenever" are checked.
b) Akismet may mistake a legitimate comment for spam, but that's very rare; in my blog, for instance, it has happened 4 times in a total of more than 8000 spam comments so far.
