There are no coupons or discounts of any kind here for anyone. We all pay the same amount for upgrades.

Also, with a domain name registration will I be able to go to my example upfrontcc.com and it will show up as upfrontcc.com ? not redirect to upfrontcc.wordpress.com?

A domain mappoing upgrade is a redirect from a .wordpress.com blog URLs to a domain URLs. See here please http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
