That clears it up. I've actually worked out a much simpler way to do what I was trying to achieve from the new blog anyway so it's not too important right now. If you are asking whether you can have a second WordPress.com blog as a subdirectory of your domain name already mapped to a first WordPress.com, the answer is no (to the best of my knowledge).

Also to the best of my knowledge, CNAME records are for subdomains (for example sub.quintanafilms.com), not for subdirectories (quintanafilms.com/sub).

To do what you are trying to do, you may have to purchase an additional domain name mapping upgrade, but it would be best to confirm with staff first:

I think this is more a question about domains than WordPress blogging, but given that I manage my domain through the WordPress dashboard I thought it might be useful to ask here.

I have a domain owned blog, and I want to create a subdirectory for it e.g. quintanafilms.com/subdirectory on the new WordPress.com blog I have just made. So basically, I want to change the domain on my new blog to quintanafilms.com/subdirectory. How do I do this through WordPress? I know that there are strict rules on original content etc but both of the sites I'm connecting are original WordPress blogs. I think it might be a case of adding a CNAME to the DNS, but I'm not sure how to do that in this case.

Any help is much appreciated.
