Hi. I'm building my blog, and love the idea of posts appearing automatically in a page defined by its category, as well as on the main page. So I'd have a main blog page showing all posts, as well as a separate page for posts of each category. As I understand it, this is what Custom Menus does. My problem is that in order for this to happen, I have to create a load of pointless and irrelevant posts just in order to have the facility to generate the category, before I can create the custom menu. Otherwise, the categories aren't going to exist for me to use in custom menu. In other words, I'm trying to create a menu by selecting categories, but the categories don't exist until I've created posts, but there won't be pages for those posts to appear on until I've created the menu! It's circular..a viscous circle.
Is there a way I can create the categories without having to create a post for each of them first? Otherwise I don't see how I can create my custom menu.
Thanks for help.
