I have a similar problem and it's driving me nuts. I've loads of images already uploaded but can't collate the ones I need together in a single galley to put on a portfolio page!
Can I do this and how?
I've spent hours trying to figure this out - most has been searching wordpress for an answer! I'm on WordPress.com. http://abstractartistcathyread.com/

The title of this may have been a little deceiving. I do know how to add an image gallery. Here's the question.

I'm creating a product listing and thought that it would be a good idea to just go ahead and add ALL of my products into my media library at one time. Each product is its own post. When I go to create a new post and add an image gallery, there seems to be no way to use the images already in the library to create said gallery.

Is this correct? I thought I've heard about this before and that there is no way to create a gallery from the media library and that a gallery could only be created after the immediate uploading of your images. If so, that's insane. Seems like that should be a very practical feature.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stanton.
