We cannot change permalinks here at wordpress.COM so we know nothing about them.

I tried to update my permalink by using my own custom one. After I saved it the pop up said it was updated, but it never changed. And when I tried to access it, a 404 error page came up. Does it take some time for the update to be processed? Thank you.
