<p>If the widget people give you some code, you can put it in a text widget, but not all codes work here. Some are stripped out for security purposes. Try it, putting a text widget in your sidebar, adding a title, pasting in the code, and then see if it shows and works on the front of the blog. </p>
<p>If it doesn't work, come back and paste it here, between backticks (usually same key as the ~) so it displays and we can tell if we can fix it to work.

I see how to do it with the download version of wordpress using plugins but I do not see plugins on the dashboard. Is there a different way to do this?
