I happen to agree with you BUT these are technical support forums and posting anything that does not resolve an issue into a thread is frowned upon here. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/forums-housekeeping?replies=1

Well, you're free to blog away.

I'm simply interested in presenting a short video segment on my homepage (say 8sec, looped) and minimizing the distraction of seeing the timecode at the bottom. You don't watch a timecode bar when you see a film in a theater. Most still images are presented without text overlaid with exposure information, etc. A simple, and very common, curatorial choice, in my opinion.

I don't want the viewer to see how long the video is, nor have the option to pause, nor make it full screen, etc. ... I alreay have have autoplay enabled.

I have flagged this thread for a Staff response.

I have blogged since 2005 and here's my opinion. That sounds like an egomaniac power and control madness of epic proportions to me. I despise autoplay. Any blogger who does what you propose is someone whose blog I would never return to again. In fact if I experienced that I might even blog how much I hated such attitudes and behaviors.

I have limited code experience, and am wondering if/how I can hide the playback bar at the bottom of a Videopress video embedded on my site. I don't want the viewer to see how long the video is, nor have the option to pause, nor make it full screen, etc.

I already have autoplay enabled.

Thanks.
