Hi. According to http://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time , which applies both to WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you are using the right method. I tried entering \d\e myself on a test blog for some reason, the backslashes get automatically removed, which causes the same effect you are describing.

I tagged this thread for staff's attention. If you don't get a response soon, contact them directly: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Hi, I'm having trouble with the date format on my blog. I keep setting it to d \d\e M \d\e y, and it keeps showing as "23 23UTC maio 23UTC 2011" (changing day, month etc). I have tried all available formats, on manual and standard setting, and it just keeps coming back to that. I don't even know if this is the right place to come for this, but I thought I'd try. Thanks for the help.
