But where I do find that it is lacking is in actually providing easy reading access. The current main site comes in two versions; if I have a WP account I go straight to the dashboard, and if I don't have one - I get to a fairly anonymous looking "get started" screen.

Personally I feel that it might put off potential new users, as it judging from the welcome screen not immediately obvious what wp.com is all about.

It'd be nice to have topics or tag clouds avaiable from the get go.
