Hi there,

I'd be happy to take care of the blog for you, but I need confirmation of the URL. When I go to the blog attached to this particular username, I do see "delete blog" when I hover over "tools," but I'm more than happy to finish this process for you.

To change your username, first make sure you're logged into WordPress.com with the user name you want to change.

Then, go here:
https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=grofiles-user-settings

click "Change" next to your username

It's really important that you're sure you want to change your username, since you can't change it back.

to clarify, your links were like sgt. shultz, "they did nothing." thanks wordpress. i'll just change the name and set up a new profile using another email. what a waste.

if only any of those links were helpful. i do not want to look at a name that i set up a year ago and which is defunct, regardless of what it says "publicly." also can't delete the darned blog. where does one delete what is no longer needed.

Provided you are logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog you can delete any blog registered under that username by using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
Note that deleted blog URLs are not recycled.

i am trying to delete my blog and change my username. your "help" is no help, as the "tools" section does NOT have a link to delete as your "help" states.
