Your name is attached to the key, not the blog.

So if I just need my WordPress.com API Key, it is fine to just delete my blog. However...

How do I know if my WordPress.com API Key has not been deleted in the process? Well, probably I could just check it with an Akismet request from another blog, still...

...or what if I would also want to get rid of the key?

May I suggest to write something about it in that FAQ?
