I have created a WordPress blog here on WordPress and my webhost offers WordPress. I installed it on my server, directly from the webhost (so not by downloading from WordPress and installing it on the server). I notice that the posibilities on the server are less then through WordPress.com. For instance, on the webhosts server I can't ad background images and the appearance menu on the left side has less options then on WordPress.com. In fact the entire menu on the left side is less then trough WordPress.com. is that standard less for webhosts?
