When we are logged into WordPress.com under that username every blog we register is registered under that username.

The answer is "no". Yes, you can change your display name http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/#change-display-name-nickname but when you do that all blogs registered under that account will also reflect the change.

Is that possible to do, if I'm still logged into the same account? I don't want to have to sign in and out to blog, when I need to write on the other blog.
