Thumbnail images can be displayed in image widgets or in text widgets in your sidebar. However, you cannot achieve the same effect because they are not RSS widgets.

Is there a way to display posts from one specific category in the sidebar? I would like to make a category for short posts and have them display on the sidebar (I understand they would display in the main pane as well upon publication). Is there a widget or bit of code that would make this possible? Thanks!
